What is a shower steamer?

A shower steamer is a fizzing, essential-oil tablet that turns an everyday shower into a spa moment — no bathtub required. We've made ours in Monroe for years under the name 'Shower Bombs,' back before 'shower steamer' was the popular term. Same fizzing chemistry as a bath bomb, just designed for the shower.

Shower bomb or shower steamer — what's the difference? None. They're two names for the same thing. Ours are made with pure essential oils, baking soda, and citric acid.

Where do you place a shower steamer? This is the part most people get wrong: set it toward the back or a corner of the shower floor, OUT of the direct water stream. The steam and the occasional splash activate it slowly, so the aromatherapy lasts your whole shower. Put it directly under the spray and it dissolves in seconds.

Why essential oils matter: the scent you breathe in the steam comes from real essential oils, not synthetic fragrance — the whole point of aromatherapy in the shower.

Shower Steamers, Handmade in Monroe (We Call Them Shower Bombs)

Shower steamer or shower bomb? Same thing. A shower steamer is a fizzing, essential-oil tablet for the shower — we've just called ours 'Shower Bombs' since before 'shower steamer' was the popular name.

How is it different from a scented body wash? A shower steamer is about what you breathe, not what you wash with. Each tablet is made with pure essential oils, baking soda, and citric acid — the same fizz as a bath bomb, designed to dissolve slowly on the shower floor so the aromatherapy lasts the whole shower instead of the first thirty seconds.

Where do you put it? Toward the back or a corner of the shower — out of the direct water stream. Under the spray it dissolves in seconds; out of the stream, the steam activates it gradually.

Which scent? Eucalyptus and Peppermint are the bright, invigorating picks; Lavender is the wind-down; Sweet Orange is cheerful; Thievery is our warm, spiced, most-gifted blend. Most people start with one and end up with a rotation — in singles and 4-packs.
