Salves are a more concentrated delivery system than lotion — higher in botanical oils and wax, lower in water, which means the active ingredients stay on the skin longer and penetrate more deeply. They're particularly effective for areas that need sustained moisture and protection: cracked heels, rough elbows, dry cuticles, winter-chapped knuckles, and minor skin irritations that regular lotion can't quite reach.
The Rinse Salves lineup includes the Sore Muscle Salve — a warming botanical blend with camphor and menthol for post-workout recovery and tension relief — and the Natural Hand Salve in Spearmint, which combines the cooling properties of spearmint with deep emollient ingredients for hands that take a beating. The Peppofoot Foot Balm, though branded separately, is technically the collection's most popular salve. All formulas use beeswax as the base, which creates a protective barrier that holds moisture in without feeling occlusive. A little goes a long way — apply at night and let it work overnight on the worst areas. Handmade in Monroe, Georgia since 2003.
