Lavender Grass-Fed Tallow Balm

A last step before bed, for skin that's still rough in the morning. Grass-fed tallow whipped with olive squalane and pure lavender oil — press a pea-sized scoop into hands, elbows and heels while skin is damp, and let it work overnight. Handmade in small batches in Monroe, Georgia.

Tallow sits close to the lipids your own skin makes, which is why it absorbs rather than resting on the surface like a heavy cream. Olive-derived squalane lightens the texture so it never turns greasy. The lavender is real essential oil, soft and faintly herbal rather than the sharp synthetic version — it reads as calm rather than floral.

The best moment is right after a warm bath, while skin is still damp, so the balm seals in that water instead of starting from dry. Warm a small scoop until silky and press it into anywhere tight. Rough elbows, knees and heels take a slightly heavier layer before bed. Hands and cuticles are worth doing every night.
