Description

Pinot Noir smells like the good stuff in your glass: ripe cherries, strawberries and raspberries over a soft, spicy finish of vanilla and oak. It's the fragrance, not the vintage — there's no actual wine in the bar, and the deep color comes from skin-safe mica. You get all the grown-up romance of a red, minus the stain on the carpet.

Like all our bars, it's cold-process and handmade in small batches, so it keeps the natural glycerin most commercial soaps strip out. Work it into a rich, creamy lather and it cleans your face, hands and body without leaving skin tight or squeaky.

Made without sulfates, parabens or phthalates, and 98% naturally derived. Handmade by our family in Monroe, Georgia since 2003 — no shortcuts, just a really good bar of soap.

Ingredients

Saponified blend of Shea & Cocoa Butters, Olive, Refined Sweet Almond, High Oleic Sunflower, Coconut Oil, & responsibly sourced Palm Kernel Oil along with Clay, Mica & Fragrance Oils

How to Use

Wet the bar and work up a rich lather with warm water — a washcloth or just your hands both do the trick. Massage over face, hands or body, then rinse. Between washes, set it on a well-draining dish out of standing water so it dries out and lasts longer. Pro tip: cut the bar in half and use one piece while the other keeps curing — both halves go further.

Set it on a draining dish out of the water's path — a soggy bar is a short-lived bar. Cut it in half and keep the spare curing in a drawer so it hardens up and lasts even longer. It also makes a fun, low-stakes gift for the wine lover in your life, especially paired with the other bars in the wine line.

Is there real wine in this soap?

Nope. Pinot Noir is scented with a skin-safe fragrance oil and the color comes from mica — there's no actual wine in the bar. You get the cherry-and-oak aroma without any of the mess.

Can I use it on my face?

Yes. The cold-process formula is gentle enough for face, hands and body. It keeps its natural glycerin, so it cleans without leaving skin tight or stripped.

How long will a bar last?

Usually about 4–6 weeks, depending on how often you bathe and how you store it. Keep it on a draining dish away from standing water and it'll go the distance.

Is it good for sensitive skin?

It's made without sulfates, parabens or phthalates, and the cold-process method keeps skin-conditioning glycerin in the bar. If your skin runs reactive, patch test first — the scent comes from a fragrance oil.
