Wholesale holiday buying happens while the fall shelf is still going up. By the time a store is ready to think about December, the lead time has already eaten the decision — so put fall and holiday on one purchase order: one freight cost, one receiving day, and a holiday shelf set in November instead of scrambled the week after Thanksgiving.
