Description

Merlot Wine Soap smells like a good pour at the end of a long day — deep, velvety, a little fruity and plum-soft, grown-up without trying too hard. It's a fragrance, so there's no actual wine in the bar (and nothing to stain your washcloth), just that warm, cozy scent you can sink into.

It's a handmade, cold-process bar, which means it keeps the natural glycerin most commercial soaps strip out. Shea butter, cocoa butter, and olive oil build a rich, creamy lather that cleans without leaving your skin tight or squeaky. Gentle enough for face, hands, and body.

Made by our family in small batches in Monroe, Georgia since 2003, with 98% naturally derived ingredients and without sulfates, parabens, or phthalates. The wine-red color comes from skin-safe mica — not merlot.

Ingredients

Saponified Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Olive Oil, Refined Sweet Almond Oil, High Oleic Sunflower Oil, Coconut Oil, Responsibly Sourced Palm Kernel Oil, Blueberry Seeds, Oxide, Fragrance.

How to Use

Wet the bar and work it into a rich lather with warm water. Massage over your face, hands, or body, then rinse clean. It's gentle enough for daily use. Between washes, set it on a well-draining soap dish out of standing water so it can dry out — a dry bar lasts a lot longer than a soggy one.

Why we love it...

There's something a little indulgent about a soap that smells like your favorite glass of red. The lather is creamy and slow-building, the shea and cocoa butter leave your skin soft instead of squeaky, and the scent lingers just enough to feel like a treat. It's the kind of everyday bar that turns an ordinary shower into a small pour-yourself-a-glass moment.

EVERY SCENT TELLS A STORY

Meet The Family

The Beer family is exactly what it sounds like — real craft beer ingredients in handmade soap. Hops, malt, and the natural sugars in beer create an incredibly rich, creamy lather that's genuinely great for your skin. These aren't gimmick soaps. The beer adds real benefits. The fact that they're fun to gift is just a bonus.

FROM THE WORKSHOP

Tips & Tricks

Keep this bar out of the direct stream of the shower — a draining dish on the edge lets it dry between uses so it lasts longer. Want to stretch it further? Cut the bar in half and use one piece while the other cures and hardens; both halves will go longer. Love that just-washed softness? Follow with your favorite unscented lotion to lock it in.

Let's Talk About It

Have any questions?

Is there real wine in this soap?

No. The Merlot scent comes from a skin-safe fragrance oil, not actual wine — so you get all that deep, velvety aroma with none of the stain. The wine-red color is from skin-safe mica.

Can I use it on my face?

Yes. It's a gentle cold-process bar, mild enough for face, hands, and body. Because it keeps its natural glycerin, it cleans without leaving your skin feeling tight or stripped.

How long will a bar last?

Usually about 4 to 6 weeks, depending on how often you use it and how you store it. Keep it on a draining dish out of standing water and it'll go the distance.

What's it made without?

We source out sulfates, parabens, and phthalates. It's a handmade, cold-process bar made with 98% naturally derived ingredients, plus skin-loving butters and oils.

GOOD THINGS DON'T LAST FOREVER

Enjoy It While You Can

A bar typically lasts 4 to 6 weeks, though it really comes down to how often you lather up and how well it dries between uses. Store it on a well-draining dish away from standing water and it'll lean toward the longer end of that range. This is naked, small-batch soap with no synthetic hardeners — treat it kindly and it'll treat you back.
