Description

Rugged cleans the way a bar of soap should — a rich, creamy lather, real moisture, and none of that tight, stripped feeling after you rinse.

The base is built on shea butter, cocoa butter, and coconut oil — ingredients that actually condition skin instead of just sitting on top. Because it's cold-process, it keeps the natural glycerin most commercial bars strip out, so skin feels soft, not squeaky. It's gentle enough for face, hands, and body — a lot of guys discover the face part on their own. We source it without sulfates, parabens, or phthalates.

The scent is Rugged: a bold, woodsy blend with a clean, masculine finish — outdoorsy without going overboard. Handmade in small batches by our family in Monroe, Georgia since 2003.

Ingredients

Saponified Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Olive Oil, Refined Sweet Almond Oil, High Oleic Sunflower Oil, Coconut Oil, Responsibly Sourced Palm Kernel Oil, Activated Charcoal, & Fragrance

How to Use

Wet the bar and work up a rich lather with warm water. Massage over your face, hands, or body, then rinse clean. Between uses, set it on a well-draining soap dish and keep it out of standing water so it can dry out fully — a dry bar lasts noticeably longer.

Why we love it...

There's something honest about a naked bar of soap. Rugged is the one we reach for when we want a scent like fresh air and a lather that genuinely takes care of your skin. Shea and cocoa butter do the heavy lifting on moisture, the cold-process glycerin keeps skin from going tight, and the woodsy scent lands just right — masculine, clean, never overpowering. It's the bar that quietly turns first-time buyers into regulars.

EVERY SCENT TELLS A STORY

Meet The Family

The Outdoors family is our fresh-air collection — pine, cedar, citronella, and other botanicals that belong outside. These scents are green, woody, and functional. They smell like the best version of being outdoors — campfire without the smoke in your eyes, forest without the bug bites.

FROM THE WORKSHOP

Tips & Tricks

Let the bar soften under running water for a second or two before you build your lather — you'll get a richer foam. And always park it on a well-draining dish between showers; a bar that dries out fully lasts weeks longer.

Let's Talk About It

Have any questions?

What makes Rugged different from store-bought soap?

It's cold-process and handmade in small batches, which keeps the natural glycerin most commercial bars strip out. That's the difference you feel — a bar that cleans without leaving skin dry or tight. We make it without sulfates, parabens, or phthalates.

Can I use Rugged on my face?

Yes. The lather is creamy and the natural glycerin means it cleanses without stripping, so it's gentle enough for daily use on your face as well as your hands and body. If your skin runs reactive, patch test first.

How long does a bar of Rugged last?

Usually about 4 to 6 weeks, depending on how often you bathe and how you store it. Keep it on a draining dish so it dries between uses and it'll go the distance.

What does Rugged smell like?

Rugged is a bold, woodsy blend with a clean, masculine finish — outdoorsy without being loud. It's scented with a fragrance oil, so the bar is 98% naturally derived.

GOOD THINGS DON'T LAST FOREVER

Enjoy It While You Can

Because these are small-batch, cold-process bars, restocks follow our pour schedule — when a batch of Rugged sells through, it's back once we make more. A bar lasts roughly 4 to 6 weeks with regular use; store it on a well-draining dish, out of standing water, and it'll last on the longer end of that range.
