Description

Casteel is our purest, gentlest bar, and on purpose. It's a Castile-style soap built almost entirely on olive oil — the same base Heather has been perfecting since her first batch back in 2003 — saponified into a bar with a soft, slippery lather rather than a big bubbly one. Never fear: you'll still see plenty of suds.

Because it's cold-process, it keeps the natural glycerin that commercial factories strip out, so it cleans without leaving skin feeling tight or stripped. There's no added scent of any kind, which makes it a favorite for sensitive skin and for anyone who'd rather skip fragrance altogether. Gentle enough for face, hands, and body.

Made by hand in small batches in Monroe, Georgia, without sulfates, parabens, or phthalates. Fair warning: folks who switch to Casteel tend to have a hard time going back to the commercial stuff.

Ingredients

saponified Olive Oil (which means olive oil that has been turned into soap) the bar has more of a slippery lather than a bubbly one, but never fear, you'll see some bubbles. Perfect for sensitive skin, tricky skin issues (eczema) & those who are challenged by scents.

How to Use

Wet the bar and work it into a lather with warm water, then massage over face, hands, or body and rinse. Because Casteel is so mild, it makes an easy everyday face and hand bar, and it doubles nicely as a shaving bar. Between uses, set it on a well-draining dish out of standing water so it can dry out — it'll last you longer that way.

Castile bars are soft by nature, so keep this one on a draining dish and let it dry fully between uses — it'll firm up and last longer. Cut the bar in half and keep one piece in rotation while the other stays dry. And don't overlook it at the sink: it's a great mild face and hand bar, and a surprisingly good shave bar too.
