Description

Rainforest Soap cleans the way soap should: a rich, creamy lather, real moisture, and none of that tight, squeaky feeling afterward. The scent is green and rain-fresh, like stepping into the woods right after a tropical downpour.

Because it's cold-process, it keeps the natural glycerin that commercial bars strip out, so skin feels soft and comfortable instead of stripped. It's built on shea butter, cocoa butter, olive oil, and coconut oil — a simple ingredient list you can actually read — and made without sulfates, parabens, or phthalates.

Handmade in small batches by our family in Monroe, Georgia since 2003. It's 98% naturally derived, gentle enough for face, hands, and body, and no two bars are ever exactly alike.

Ingredients

Saponified Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Olive Oil, Refined Sweet Almond Oil, High Oleic Sunflower Oil, Coconut Oil, Responsibly Sourced Palm Kernel Oil, Mica, Fragrance

How to Use

Wet the bar and work it into a rich lather with warm water, then massage over your face, hands, or body and rinse. For the fullest lather, let the bar soften under the running water for a second or two before you build suds. Between washes, set it on a well-draining dish out of standing water so it dries out and lasts longer.

Why we love it...

That green, just-after-the-rain scent turns a plain shower into a walk in the woods. Pair it with a lather that's genuinely creamy and skin that feels soft instead of stripped, and it's easy to see why it becomes the bar you reach for every day.

EVERY SCENT TELLS A STORY

Meet The Family

The Fresh family is our clean, bright, wake-you-up collection — eucalyptus, peppermint, spearmint, and green botanicals that feel like splashing cold water on your face. These scents are energizing without being aggressive, clean without being clinical. They're the 'deep breath on a spring morning' of our lineup.

FROM THE WORKSHOP

Tips & Tricks

Let the bar dry out between washes on a draining dish and it'll firm right back up and last longer. Keep it out of the direct shower stream so it isn't quietly melting away while you're not using it. Traveling? A quick-draining tin or a soap bag keeps it from turning to mush in your kit.

Let's Talk About It

Have any questions?

What makes Rainforest Soap different from store-bought soap?

It's cold-process soap made from scratch, so it keeps its natural glycerin — the moisturizing part most commercial bars strip out. You get a real, creamy lather and skin that feels clean instead of tight.

Does Rainforest Soap work as a facial cleanser?

Yes. It's gentle enough for your face as well as your hands and body. The shea butter and cocoa butter lather lifts away dirt and oil without drying you out.

How long will a bar of Rainforest Soap last?

Usually 4 to 6 weeks, depending on how often you bathe and how you store it. Keep it on a well-draining dish out of the shower stream and it'll last on the longer end.

Is Rainforest Soap gentle enough for sensitive skin?

It's made without sulfates, parabens, or phthalates, so plenty of folks with sensitive skin get along with it well. Everyone's skin is different, though, so if you have specific allergies, give the full ingredient list a look first.

GOOD THINGS DON'T LAST FOREVER

Enjoy It While You Can

A handmade bar like this one typically lasts 4 to 6 weeks, though that depends on how often you lather up and how well it dries between uses. Store it on a well-draining dish, out of standing water, so it dries fully between showers — that's how you get every last wash out of it.
