Description

Ahoy! Pirate Soap is a candy-sweet little treasure your crew will actually beg to use at bath time. There's a wee speck of gold swirled through every bar (that's skin-safe mica, not real doubloons) and a fun, sugary-sweet scent that makes washing up feel like a hunt for buried treasure.

It's a handmade cold-process bar, which means we keep the natural glycerin most big-brand bars strip out — so it cleanses without leaving skin tight or stripped. Gentle enough for little faces, hands, and bodies, it holds its own right alongside the grown-ups' bars in your shower.

Handmade by our family in small batches in Monroe, Georgia since 2003, and made without sulfates, parabens, or phthalates. Scented with a fragrance oil, so it's 98% naturally derived.

Ingredients

Saponified Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Olive Oil, Refined Sweet Almond Oil, High Oleic Sunflower Oil, Coconut Oil, Responsibly Sourced Palm Kernel Oil, Mica, Charcoal, & Fragrance

How to Use

Wet the bar and work it into a rich lather with warm water, then wash and rinse. Gentle enough for face, hands, and body. Store on a well-draining soap dish between uses so the bar dries out and lasts longer.

Why we love it...

That wee speck of gold gets us every time. Pirate is the bar we hand to parents who are tired of the nightly "do I HAVE to take a bath" standoff — the candy-sweet scent and buried treasure make the tub the fun part. And because it's the same gentle cold-process base we make everything on, it's soft on skin while it's busy convincing little pirates to actually scrub.

EVERY SCENT TELLS A STORY

Meet The Family

Every product has a story, but not every story is about scent. This one is about what it does — the ingredients, the craft, the way it feels when it works exactly like it should. Some products lead with their nose. This one leads with results.

FROM THE WORKSHOP

Tips & Tricks

Set the bar on a well-draining dish between adventures, out of any standing water, so it dries out and lasts longer. For small hands, cut the bar in half — it's easier to hold and you get two little treasures out of one. Keep it out of the shower's direct stream so it doesn't melt away.

Let's Talk About It

Have any questions?

What does Pirate Soap smell like?

It's a fun, candy-sweet scent — playful and a little sugary, exactly the kind of thing that makes little pirates want to hop in the tub. It's scented with a skin-safe fragrance oil, so the bar is 98% naturally derived, and that wee speck of gold is skin-safe mica.

Is it gentle enough for kids?

Yes. Pirate is made on the same gentle cold-process base as the rest of our bars and is fine for little faces, hands, and bodies. As with any soap, keep it out of eyes, and give reactive skin a quick patch test first.

How long will a bar last?

Usually about 4 to 6 weeks, depending on how often it's used and how it's stored. Keep it on a well-draining dish out of standing water and it'll last on the longer end of that range.

What makes it different from store-bought soap?

It's handmade in small batches using the cold-process method, so it keeps the natural glycerin most commercial bars strip out — you get a clean that doesn't leave skin feeling tight. Made without sulfates, parabens, or phthalates, by our family in Monroe, Georgia since 2003.

GOOD THINGS DON'T LAST FOREVER

Enjoy It While You Can

Most bars last about 4 to 6 weeks, though it really depends on how often it gets used and how it's stored. Keep it on a well-draining soap dish, out of standing water, so it can dry between uses — a bar that dries out lasts a good deal longer than one left sitting in a puddle.
