Description

A bar of soap that does what most commercial soap won't: leave your skin softer than it was before you washed. Birch is our crisp, woodsy bar — clean, open-air scent with no heavy musk — with flecks of cranberry seed worked in for a little gentle scrub.

The base is built on shea and cocoa butter with olive and coconut oil — the kind of ingredient list you can read without a chemistry degree. Because it's cold-process, it keeps the natural glycerin that commercial bars strip out, so you rinse clean without that tight, squeaky feeling. Made without sulfates, parabens, or phthalates.

Handmade in small batches at our workshop in Monroe, Georgia — the same small town where Heather started making soap back in 2003. Gentle enough for face, hands, and body.

Ingredients

Saponified Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Olive Oil, Refined Sweet Almond Oil, High Oleic Sunflower Oil, Coconut Oil, Responsibly Sourced Palm Kernel Oil, Charcoal Powder, Cranberry Seeds, and Fragrance

How to Use

Wet the bar and work it into a rich lather with warm water — use your hands, a washcloth, or lather it straight onto skin. Massage over face, hands, and body, then rinse. The cranberry seeds give a light scrub as you go, so keep to gentle circular motions on your face. Set the bar on a well-draining dish between uses so it dries out and lasts longer.

Why we love it...

It's the everyday bar that earns its spot on the dish. The lather is rich and creamy, the woodsy scent is clean without being loud, and the cranberry seeds add just enough grit to leave skin feeling smooth — not sanded. Charcoal is known for helping lift excess oil and grime, so the bar rinses down to genuinely clean. And because it's cold-process, your skin feels conditioned afterward instead of stripped.

EVERY SCENT TELLS A STORY

Meet The Family

The Outdoors family is our fresh-air collection — pine, cedar, citronella, and other botanicals that belong outside. These scents are green, woody, and functional. They smell like the best version of being outdoors — campfire without the smoke in your eyes, forest without the bug bites.

FROM THE WORKSHOP

Tips & Tricks

Let the bar soften under warm running water for a second or two before you build a lather — you'll get a richer foam. Between uses, park it on a well-draining dish (not a puddle) so it dries out; a bar that never dries turns to mush. To stretch it even further, cut a fresh bar in half and rotate the two pieces.

Let's Talk About It

Have any questions?

What does Birch smell like?

Crisp, woodsy birch — think clean winter air with a quiet hint of sweetness. It's an outdoorsy scent with no heavy musk, which is why it's a favorite with men and women alike.

Does Birch work as a facial cleanser?

Yes. It's gentle enough for face, hands, and body. The shea and cocoa butter condition while the cold-process glycerin keeps skin from feeling tight, and the cranberry seeds are fine enough for a gentle scrub — just go easy with circular motions on your face.

How long will a bar last?

Usually 4-6 weeks, though it depends on how often you bathe and how you store it. Keep it on a well-draining dish and out of the shower stream so it can dry between uses — a soggy bar disappears fast.

What's in it, and what's left out?

A butter-and-oil base of shea and cocoa butter with olive, sweet almond, sunflower, coconut, and palm kernel oils, plus charcoal and cranberry seeds. Made without sulfates, parabens, or phthalates. It's scented with a skin-safe fragrance oil, which makes the bar 98% naturally derived. Patch test if your skin runs reactive.

GOOD THINGS DON'T LAST FOREVER

Enjoy It While You Can

Expect about 4-6 weeks from a bar with regular use — a little more or less depending on how often you lather up and where you keep it. Store it on a well-draining dish, away from standing water and the direct shower spray, so it dries fully between washes. A bar that gets to dry out lasts noticeably longer than one left sitting in a puddle.
