Description

Blue Citrus Sugar Scrub starts as fine cane sugar and rich butters, then does something a little magical. As you add a splash of water and massage, it melts from a scrub into a silky, creamy lotion. The sugar buffs away dull, dry skin while the shea butter and oils stay behind as that creamy layer — so you rinse off polished and moisturized, never greasy and never an oil slick.

The scent is bright, fresh Blue Citrus: a cheery blend of orange, lemon, and grapefruit that wakes up a morning shower. Clean and a little energizing, it lingers just enough after you towel off.

Handmade in small batches in Monroe, Georgia since 2003, and made without sulfates, parabens, or phthalates. 99% naturally derived.

Ingredients

Sucrose (Cane Sugar), Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter) Fruit, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride (Fractionated Coconut Oil), Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil, Emulsifying Wax NF, Phenoxyethanol (and) Caprylyl Glycol (and) Sorbic Acid (paraben-free preservative), Fragrance, and Clay.

How to Use

Step into the shower and let your skin get damp. Scoop out a small amount and massage it onto wet skin in slow, circular motions — as you work it in, the scrub transforms into a creamy, lotion-like milk. Focus on rougher spots like elbows, knees, and heels, then rinse thoroughly. Use a couple of times a week; gentle circles beat scrubbing hard. Heads up: the oils can make the tub slippery, so step carefully.

Why we love it...

It's the rare scrub that does two jobs at once. The fine cane sugar buffs away the dull, dry surface, and then — the part we love — the shea butter and oils transform into a creamy lotion right on your skin. You step out polished and genuinely moisturized, no separate lotion step required. It even doubles as a shaving lotion: leave the silky layer on and let your razor glide.

FROM THE WORKSHOP

Tips & Tricks

Scrub right before you shave — leave that lotion-y layer on your legs and let the razor glide for a closer, smoother shave. To keep your jar fresh, scoop out what you need and try to keep extra water from getting in. And go easy: gentle circles reveal smoother skin than hard scrubbing ever will.

Let's Talk About It

Have any questions?

How often should I use it?

A couple of times a week is plenty for most skin. Exfoliating too often can leave skin feeling irritated, so keep your circles gentle and let your skin be your guide.

Will it leave my skin greasy?

No. As you massage, the scrub turns into a light lotion that rinses clean — you're left soft and moisturized, not slick. A little goes a long way, and you can pat dry after rinsing.

Can I use it on my face?

Keep this one to the body — arms, legs, and torso. Facial skin is more delicate and can be irritated by physical exfoliation, so reach for a gentle face mask instead.

What does Blue Citrus smell like?

A bright, fresh blend of orange, lemon, and grapefruit — cheery and a little energizing, perfect for a morning shower.

GOOD THINGS DON'T LAST FOREVER

Enjoy It While You Can

One jar lasts 4-6 weeks with 2-3 uses per week. Resist the urge to use too much per session — a tablespoon-sized amount covers a lot of skin.
