Unscented Grass-Fed Tallow Balm

Tallow is close in composition to the oils skin already produces, so it sinks in rather than sitting on top the way a heavy cream does. Squalane from olives keeps it light. There are no essential oils and no fragrance oils in it — not a masked scent, none — which is what makes it usable on reactive skin, and on anyone who has to be scent-free at work.

Apply on damp skin, straight after a bath or shower, so it seals in water rather than working against a dry surface. Warm a small scoop between your fingers until silky, then press it into hands, cuticles, elbows, knees, heels and shins. Because there's nothing to smell, it slips underneath a scented lotion or perfume without competing.
